A VERY small study presented as a poster at the ongoing EAU meeting in Milan has suggested that intermittent docetaxel therapy may be as effective as continuous docetaxel therapy in hormone refractory prostate cancer patients. Such intermittent therapy would clearly decrease the “chemo load” on the patients. However, this will need to be confirmed in much bigger trials.
