One Response to “What one of the co-founders has been up to”

  1. Hi Arnon,

Thanks for sharing your recent taped interview with Pat Robertson. I thought you very skillfully handled the questions he raised. I fully concur with your repeated statement to him that we really don’t know the cause(s) of prostate cancer and that all we can do is have experienced urologists like you treat patients, starting with early screening. But despite the limited time you had to drive your points home, I believe it would have been wise to briefly add that there are risks associated with getting prostate cancer, such as age, nutrition, or genetics, even though there are no guarantees prostate cancer can be prevented even if a man is younger or has no previous family members who suffered from this disease.

All-in-all I thought you handled the issues Robertson raised with great clarity and focus, which in fact was your message. And you did a great service emphasizing that patients (and others) should take the opportunity to get better informed by reading reliable resources such as those at The Prostate Cancer InfoLink.

Kudos to you and also to Rev. Robertson for having such a frank, public discussion before a large audience on a popular Christian tv show like the 700 Club. Well done!

    Rabbi Ed Weinsberg
