Prostate Cancer International and ProstateVideos.com are collaborating with the Prostate Cancer Mission in the development of an “Open Conversation” on prostate cancer, to be held at the Kovens Center, Florida International University, in North Miami, Florida on May 9, 2009.
This will be the second “Open Conversation” to be coordinated by the Prostate Cancer Mission. Discussants and presenters at this meeting confirmed to date include:
- Paul F. Schellhammer, MD, a former president of the American Urological Association and of the Society for Urologic Oncology, and himself a prostate cancer patient
- Gerald Chodak, MD, developer of ProstateVideos.com and the urologist who stimulated the original development of US Too International
- Gary E. Deng, MD, PhD, Integrative Medicine Service, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY
- Howard Sandler, MD, Chairman of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, California
- Rhonda Fine, PhD, ARNP, a specialist in sexual counseling
- Marta Plaza, the wife of a prostate cancer patient who has recently passed away
- Tony Crispino, a prostate cancer patient and moderator of a prostate cancer on-line forum
- Patrick Baxter, a prostate cancer patient and Caribbean Task Force Leader, the Prostate Cancer Mission
Other participants will include the two co-founders of this web site — Arnon Krongrad, MD and the regular writer of this blog.
