Coping with issues AFTER prostate cancer treatment

The Michigan Cancer Consortium (with funding from the Centers for Disease Control) has developed and issued a new series of “fact sheets” under the general heading “Managing Symptoms After Prostate Cancer.”

These are sound, basic fact sheets that may be very helpful for new and less knowledgeable patients, or may be helpful as handouts for support group leaders and other prostate cancer educators. Each fact sheet is just a few pages long.

It has to be stated that the experienced patient may find some of this material “simplistic” — but remember that every prostate cancer patient is a new patient at one time. If these materials are the first materials you get, then they will certainly start you down the pathway of learning more.
