It appears to be based on a small case series. There is no suggestion that any patients were filling out carefully documented surveys or that the baseline sexual functions of the patients had been carefully estimated prior to treatment.

According to this paper, hyperthermia combined with low-dose radiation causes less sexual side effects than conventional radiation. A man does not have to wait 2 years to recover his normal sexual function when he treats his prostate cancer with hyperthermia combined with low-dose radiation.
