The ASCO Genitourinary Cancer Symposium officially begins this morning at 8:00 am San Francisco time, and will include well over 200 original presentations on prostate cancer alone.
Clearly we shall not be reporting in detail on all of these presentations. Some presentations will have little new to offer or will just reconfirm things we are pretyy clear about. Our goal will be to focus on the important new data presented on prostate cancer and to give very brief comments on other papers of particular interest.
So … for those who are interested in digging more deeply … all of the abstracts of papers to be presented at this meeting are available on line, and the abstracts of the prostate cancer presentations are divided into two groups:
- For links to abstracts of the papers dealing with the biology, diagnosis, and management of prostate cancer, please click here.
- For links to abstracts of papers dealing with epidemiology, risk factors, prevention, and related topics, please click here.
You can also find the full meeting agenda if you click here. The agenda will also show you who is giving “overviews” of critical topics (starting with “to screen or not to screen”).
The prostate cancer section of the meeting will fill today’s agenda and then there will be some additional poster presentations on Saturday.
