A media release issued yesterday by Medivation and Astellas Pharma states that Astellas has submitted an application to the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) to market enzalutamide (formerly MDV3100) for the treatment of men with metastatic, castration-resistant prostate cancer who have been previously received treatment with docetaxel-based chemotherapy.
As previously reported, on May 22 Medivation had submitted a similar application to the US Food & Drug Administration.
