“Clergy of the World Unite”

The “Clergy of the World Unite” initiative is designed to encourage clergy of all faiths to use the power of the pulpit to urge their congregants and communicants to adopt good health management practices for themselves and their families, including childhood vaccinations, regular health check-ups, and specific screening activities for diseases like infectious disorders, heart disease, and cancers.

The “New” Prostate Cancer InfoLink is particularly focused on asking clergy to take advantage of events like Fathers Day and Prostate Cancer Awareness Week to urge the men in their congregations to ensure that (as part of a general message about good health management) they receive appropriate tests to identify risk for prostate cancer, including a physical examination and a prostate specific antigen (PSA) test, on a regular basis.

If you wish to receive regular information from us about participating in these initiatives, please just provide the following information in the ”Leave a Reply” box below:

  • Your e-mail address (essential)
  • Your name (optional)
  • Your faith/affiliation (optional)
  • The name of your congregation and the primary town or city where you minister to it (optional)
  • The approximate size of your congregation (optional)

Please note that the only thing that you absolutely need to tell us is your e-mail address, so that we can keep you informed of appropriate opportunities to use the power of the pulpit to encourage good health management behavior among your community. Any additional information is entirely optional.

For members of the clergy with a more personal or familial interest in prostate cancer prevention and mangement, please check out the groups entitled Clergy of the World and Faith and Healing on The “New” Prostate Cancer InfoLink Social Network.

Thank you for your interest.

  1. It is imperative that men between the ages of 40-65 years of age participate in getting their annual medical health check, as well as the PSA. Early detection can save lives.
