JX-594 and prostate cancer — some follow-up

There has been considerable interest in yesterday’s news item about JX-594 and its potential applicability to the treatment of prostate cancer, so we have done a little more homework.

Data just published in the journal Nature suggest that an engineered oncolytic virus called JX-594 selectively targeted and destroyed cancer cells in patients without significantly affecting healthy tissue.
