For readers who are “into” the technical details, the American College of Radiology (ACR) has just updated the ACR Appropriateness Criteria® for the use of radiation therapy in the management of locally advanced (high risk) prostate cancer.
The full text of the new ACR Appropriateness Criteria in locally advanced (high risk) prostate cancer is available on line.
ACR has also issued ACR Appropriateness Criteria adressing the application of radiation therapy in:
- Definitive (“first line”) external beam radiation of clinical stage T1/2 prostate cancer
- Salvage radiation therapy after radical prostatectomy
- Permanent seed brachytherapy
and other related related conditions.
