Daft though this may seem, apparently the 2012 Movember efforts set some new records for global prostate cancer fund-raising. The details are provided in an infographic below. What’s the bottom line?
In “Movember 2012” more than 1 million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas worldwide raised > US$141.5 million for prostate cancer and related men’s health research! That’s more than twice as much as Congress assigned to the Prostate Cancer Research Program of the Congressionally Mandated Medical Research Program coordinated by the U.S. Department of Defense in 2012.
Furthermore, this suggests that if we all work a little harder we can generate something like $200 million during 2013.
