Risk for prostate cancer once screening ended (from the Göteborg cohort)

Many readers will want to be aware of a new article entitled “Incidence of prostate cancer after termination of screening in a population-based randomised screening trial” that has just been published in European Urology.

This study (by Grenabo Bergdahl et al.) was designed to look at risk for diagnosis of prostate cancer after the conclusion of screening in men of 70+ years of age from the Göteborg (Swedish) screening trial.

The abstract of this paper is available if you click here. The “New” Prostate Cancer InfoLink is withholding any comment on this article until we have had a chance to see the entire text of the full paper, which we have already requested from the authors.
