An update to the STAMPEDE trial in the UK, Switzerland

We have previously discussed, in some detail,  the multi-arm, ongoing STAMPEDE trial in the UK and Switzerland, which is looking — in a comparative manner — at a whole series of treatment processes among men with advanced forms of prostate cancer.

In the most recent update to this trial, the investigators have added another new arm to the trial which allows men to be randomly enrolled into the trial in away that allows them to be randomized to treatment with either standard androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) in Arm A of the study or standard ADT together with abiraterone acetate + prednisone (or prednisolone) + enzalutamide in the new Arm J.

The updated, full trial protocol can be reviewed on the ClinicalTrials.gov web site. The arms of this trial that are still open for enrollment are Arms A, H, and J. Arms B through G are now either fully enrolled or have been closed to enrollment for other reasons, and there is no Arm I.
