In June last year the American Cancer Society (ACS) published the first-ever set of long-term care guidelines for prostate cancer survivors. The “New” Prostate Cancer InfoLink addressed and discussed those guidelines at the time of their publication.
We are pleased to note that the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) has endorsed these guidelines in an article in the Journal of Clinical Oncology and as discussed in a media release issued by ASCO in February (that we had somehow managed to miss).
The “New” Prostate Cancer InfoLink would like to think that the American Urological Association (AUA) would also be willing to endorse these survivorship guidelines. Whether the AUA would be willing to do that is not immediately apparent.
