Psychosocial care for prostate cancer survivors

A recent review of psychosocial care and prostate cancer survivorship originally appeared this year in the journal Translational Andrology and Urology.

The full text of this review by Goonewardene and Persad (a pair of UK-based researchers) is available on line without registration on the original journal’s web site. The full text of the review is also available on the Medscape Oncology web site; to read it there requires registration with Medscape (but there is no cost).

This may be a useful review of the available literature for support group leaders and some other interested readers, but he main finding — that good quality psychosocial care for prostate cancer patients (and their partners) is a vast unmet need — is not exactly a surprising observation.
