This evening at 6:00 pm Eastern time we shall be continuing our conversation with Dr. Paul Schellhammer regarding ways to encourage patients to be able to “live well” after a diagnosis of prostate cancer. Click here to get the detailed information and join the discussion.
The particular focus for this evening’s conversation will be the quality of research into how to live well after such a diagnosis; whether sufficient effort is being made to ensure that appropriate information is being built into treatment guidelines; and whether clinicians make sufficient effort to ensure that their prostate cancer patients really know how to apply the information that is available in guiding their patients.
As previously noted, Dr. Schellhammer is long-time prostate cancer patient himself, a highly respected urologic oncologist who has spent much of his career studying prostate cancer and its management, a former president of the American Urological Association (AUA),. and a former president of the Society for Urologic Oncology (SUO).
