An amendment to the Defense Appropriations Act offered by Congressman Cliff Stearns (R, FL) on the floor of the House of Representatives yesterday has added back $16 million to the Department of Defense’s Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP). DoD PCRP stands for the Congressionally mandated Department of Defense Prostate Cancer Research Program — and it is the only US government-sponsored initiative that dedicates funding specifically to prostate cancer research.
